Darin ErstadNebraska Baseball Head Coach
Darin Erstad was named the head coach of the Nebraska baseball program on June 2, 2011. A two-time Major League All-Star and three-time Gold Glove winner, Erstad spent the 2011 season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Husker program. One of the most decorated baseball players in program history, Erstad was a first-team All-American and finalist for the USA Baseball GoldenSpikes Award in 1995 before embarking on a 14-year career in Major League Baseball.
Coach Erstad serves as the Manager of the Nebraska Baseball Academy and knows the importance of a solid instructional setting for the participants that register for any of the camps offered through the Nebraska Baseball Academy.

Will BoltNebraska Baseball Associate Head CoachFormer Husker standout Will Bolt was named Associate Head Coach on June 8, 2011. A four-year starter and team captain on Nebraska's 2001 and 2002 College World Series teams, Bolt has spent the past four seasons as head coach at Texarkana College. He will oversee NU's infield unit and help direct the Husker offense.

Ted SilvaNebraska Baseball Pitching CoachTed Silva was hired as the Huskers' Pitching Coach on June 17, 2011. Silva comes to Lincoln from the West Coast where he has spent the past four seasons as the pitching coach at UC Irvine and Loyola Marymount. A 1995 All-America pitcher at Cal State Fullerton, Silva helped lead UC Irvine to national prominence from 2008-10 when they qualified for three straight NCAA Regionals and won the 2009 Big West Conference title. Silva was a standout pitcher at Cal State Fullerton from 1993-95 and was selected by the Texas Rangers in the 21st round of the 1995 MLB Draft and spent five seasons in the Rangers organization.

Jeff ChristyNebraska Baseball Volunteer Assistant CoachJeff Christy returns to Lincoln after spending five years playing in the professional ranks and one season as the volunteer assistant at Wichita State University. A native of Lincoln, NE, Christy was selected in the sixth round of the 2006 MLB Draft by the Minnesota Twins, the highest selection for a Husker catcher since 1985. Christy was a two-year starter for Nebraska and helped lead the Huskers to the 2005 College World Series.

Curtis LedbetterDirector of Baseball OperationsDirector, Nebraska Baseball Academy Curtis Ledbetter joined the Nebraska Baseball staff in May, 2008. Curtis graduated from the University of Nebraska in 2005. He played collegiately at Garden City CC (KS) and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. At Nebraska he earned All Big XII honors in 2003-05 and Big XII Tournament MVP in 2005. Ledbetter was drafted by Seattle and played three years of professional baseball. |

Renee is beginning her 26th year as Office Manager for the Nebraska Baseball program. Renee also serves as the Academy Coordinator and assists with many day-to-day operations of the Academy. The NEBRASKA BASEBALL ACADEMY has a passion for this great game of baseball. Our purpose is to influence the lives of the youth in a positive way. The Academy will help do this by teaching all participants how to play the game the right way, developing the unique tools each child has and creating a work ethic that is unbreakable on and off the field. We will give you the tools to build your foundation as a baseball player and have a blast doing it!
