Mike AndersonMike Anderson

Nebraska Baseball Head Coach
Coach Anderson begins his 7th year as head coach of the Nebraska Baseball program. Coach Anderson also served as Assistant Coach at Nebraska for eight seasons. Before arriving in Lincoln, Coach Anderson was the top assistant at the University of Northern Colorado, he was the outfielder for Northern Colorado from 1983-86 and played professional baseball for the California Angels organization from 1986-89.

As the manager of the NEBRASKA BASEBALL ACADEMY, Coach Anderson and his staff place a strong emphasis on developing, teaching and growing their athletes into outstanding young men.

 

Dave BinghamDave Bingham

Nebraska Baseball Assistant Coach
Beginning his 5th year as Assistant Coach at Nebraska is Coach Bingham. Coach Bingham has been a coach in the collegiate ranks for 23 seasons, including successful head coaching stints at Emporia State and Kansas and was most recently an assistant coach at New Mexico.

 

Eric Newman

Nebraska Baseball Pitching Coach
Eric Newman joined the Nebraska Baseball staff on July 2, 2007. Newman comes to Nebraska after five years at Dallas Baptist University, serving the last three seasons as head coach. He spent two years playing collegiate baseball at Fresno State prior to transferring to Texas Tech in 1993. Newman was drafted by the San Diego Padres in 1994. Coach Newman played a total of eight seasons, including stints in the San Diego Padres, Chicago Cubs and Arizona Diamondbacks organizations.

Nate Thompson

Nate Thompson

Volunteer Coach
Nate Thompson joined the Nebraska Baseball staff in August, 2007. Coach Thompson graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Dallas Baptist University (TX) in 2006. Thompson was the assistant coach with the Mat-Su Miners of the Alaska Baseball League last summer. He also held assistant coaching positions at Fort Hays State University (KS) and Dallas Baptist University. He played collegiately at both Garden City Community College (KS) and Dallas Baptist University.

 

Curtis Ledbetter

Director of Baseball Operations

Curtis Ledbetter joined the Nebraska Baseball staff in May, 2008. Curtis graduated from the University of Nebraska in 2005. He played collegiately at Garden City CC (KS) and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. At Nebraska he earned All Big XII honors in 2003-05 and Big XII Tournament MVP in 2005. Ledbetter was drafted by Seattle and played three years of professional baseball.

Saul SolteroSaul Soltero

Nebraska Baseball Academy Elite Instructor
After serving as a player, coach and scout at both the collegiate (UNLV, Emporia State) and professional ranks (San Diego Padres, Milwaukee Brewers) organizations. Saul Soltero brings a wealth of knowledge to the Nebraska Baseball Academy. Saul played colletiately under current Husker Coach Dave Bingham and pitched his team to within one win of the 1987 National Championship. As a professional, he won numerous league titles as both a player and coach. He currently lives in Columbus, Nebraska, and also serves as the Director of Major League Baseball Services for the Hoosier Bat Company. Saul brings a strong work ethic and an energetic and enthusiastic passion for baseball to all the students he works with.

Brandon Rigoni

Assistant Strength Coach

Brandon is in his first year as Assistant Strength Coach with Nebraska Baseball. He graduated from the University of Nebraska in 2006 with a degree in Psychology and is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree. Brandon will work primarily with our Speed, Strength, Agility Camp.

Renee Brinkmann

Nebraska Baseball Academy Coordinator
Renee is in her 21st year as Office Manager for the Nebraska Baseball program. Renee also serves as the Academy Coordinator and assists with many day-to-day operations of the Academy.
