What is Intensive Hitting Camp Really All About?
Sun, January 24, 2010

Not all hitters are alike, but great hitters have certain fundamental skills in common that are essential to their success. The Nebraska Baseball Academy's focus is on the individual hitter and the parts of each young man's swing that needs adjustment for personal achievement. At Intensive Hitting Camps, the hitter is introduced to the themes of the Husker way to hit, including:

1. Balanced, Athletic Stance

2. Load and Deadfoot

3. 70/30 weight distribution

4. Four Points of Rear Side Acceleration

Implementing the skills desired happens through analysis from the Academy staff and the drills performed (soft toss progression and angle pitch). Our goal is to help educate each camper about his own swing. Knowing your swing, being able to recognize problems within it and how to make the necessary adjustments for continued development and success is what we do on a weekly basis at Intensive Hitting Camp.

When you register for Intensive Hitting Camp, you will be grouped with three/four other participants. You will meet once a week (60 minutes) for 4 weeks at the Hawks Championship Center with an instructor from the Nebraska Baseball Academy.

Sessions starting soon:
Mondays:  March 1, 8, 15, 22, 2010 (choose from three class times - 5:30pm, 6:45pm, 8pm)

Mondays:  March 29; April 5, 19, 26, 2010 (choose from three class times - 5:30pm, 6:45pm, 8pm)
